Konad Snake with Revlon

I was trying to do a snake pattern, using a combination of konad stamping and hand painting the rest. Let me know what you think, does this look like a python skin, kind of, or something else? The detailed steps, if you are interested to recreate this, are below. The final step is to dot and smudge spots around the rectangular patterns with a fine brush and a brown nail color, I used Clarins # 226 Chestnut.

Step 1

Prepared nails with base coat, then applied three coats of Revlon as a base color, this is a sheer grey with golden shimmer or frost, not fashionable at the moment, but I just love the color of this polish. Don't know how old this is, but with some luck and search quite a few of the old Revlon polishes are still available, I bought this one from eBay recently. Because this is an "old" formula it dries very slowly and as you can see I smudged it in a few places hopefully the konad pattern will cover the mistakes!

Step 2

Stamped the honeycomb pattern over the base using China Glaze Snow

Step 3

Using a very fine brush painted the diagonal rectangles with gold, then filled them in with China Glaze Snow

Products used from left to right:

Diorlisse ridge filing base coat, Revlon 912 (3 coats), (Konad special polish white, Essie Marshmallow ended up not using these), Clarins 226 Chestnut, (dotting tool did not use this either), China Glaze Snow to stamp and fill in the rectangles, fine art brush not pictured

I really like this. Yes, it looks snakey.

T-Rex thank you very much, I actually looked at a snake after I finished this and the white color in the middle is not necessary at all! If you try it don't do the white bit.
